🥁 For a class at The Ohio State University, I tackled making an infographic for the marching band with two classmates.
Motivation
In my Engineering Writing class, we decided to tackle making a marching band infographic. One of our members was part of the marching band and she was the researcher for our group.

- People: Breakdown of members, majors, years in 2016
- Recent Shows: Links to the latest shows on YouTube
- Instruments: Dynamic pie chart to view the instruments and members of every row
Technologies
- Bootstrap – Front-end library that helps us start with great styling
- D3.js – Data visualization library used to create the instruments pie chart
- Tether.js – JavaScript library used for adding tooltips when elements are moused over
Authors
- Lauren Haack (Band Member) researched and gathered most of the information in the visualization
- Rui Lu (Graphic Designer) designed all the icons: the 11 instruments, male/female, band guy, and majors
